Golf Tours

Neville, our resident tour guide will co-ordinate tailor made golf tours in the Perthshire area and further afield if requested. Within an hours journey of The Blackford Hotel, there are over fifty golf courses varying from the famous challenging PGA centenary course at Gleneagles to the delightful and possibly the most beautiful nine holer in Killin.

Take advantage of the special value for money Perthshire golf passes. Five rounds of golf for £82, three rounds for £50 (www.perthshire.co.uk/golf).

Example Two Night Four Round Golf Tour

Day One

Collected from Edinburgh airport late morning, we can take you direct to Murrayshall, Perth for an 18-hole round of this national and professionally renowned course, followed by late lunch and then you will make your way to The Blackford Hotel where you can freshen up before dinner either in our dining room or lounge bar, with its ever increasing selection of malt whiskies

Day Two

7.30 am Full traditional Scottish breakfast before departing at approximately 8am for an 8.30am T off at the world famous Gleneagles Golf courses, choosing either of their three infamous championship courses. Enjoy a light snack in the Dormi House restaurant (Gleneagles Club House) before heading 15 miles up the Glen to Crieff to play the beautiful Ferntower Golf Course (voted 29th best golfing facility in the 100 golf clubs of Britain & Ireland). Enjoy fantastic views over the Strathearn Valleys whilst enjoying the 6402 yard par 71 course.

Return to The Blackford Hotel for an enjoyable and relaxing evening after an exceptional day.

Day Three

After a leisurely start, we depart for Muckhart Golf Club at the foot of the Ochil Hills where you are challenged by this fantastic undulating course and its stunning views. We then return to Glasgow airport for an afternoon flight back home.

Neville, our "resident" Golf tour guide and caddy will be your driver, in a very comfortable people carrier or larger, if required. He will be your driver throughout and will also unload as much imagination as you require regarding the history of the area you are passing through.

This is an example itinery on and can be tailored according to ability and preferences. The courses played can be of any size and difficulty and we will be delighted to discuss any of your special preferences. We can also offer the inclusion of visiting distilleries and whisky tasting accordingly.
